Tassel Fun For Everyone!

I was so pleased to be asked by Carmi Cimicata to join in a blog hop for John Bead and their cool leather tassels and leather cording. Above is the happy mail I got!

Pin It  Of course  my first thought was jewelry and then I wondered about doing something more "crafty".  I did end up making some jewelry items but I will start with a fun burlap canvas!  I used mostly the green packaged tassels.  I also decided to be Christmas like!
I loved the gold tops to some of the tassels as they give my "tree" the illusion of ornaments.  I then added some Vintage Glass Glitter Shards and Small Connie Crystals!  I did snip off the tassel top for the angel, painted the face white and then added the face.  I spread some of the tassels for "wings" and added the crystals for the halo and hands.

The little dove was a little addition just for fun.  I layered the tassels on the bottom row first.  Three on the bottom row, two on the second row and the angel on top! I used Designer Dries Clear Fabric Glue from Art Glitter.  It holds well and does not show when dry.

This is the finished project:
As for some other things made with the tassels, I added some Art Glitter products to the tops of the tassels.  I then coated them with resin.  I filled the bezels with resin also.
Loved using some of the NEW Graphic 45 Paper for the backgrounds.  The Couture Collection is so fun.  I used the reverse side of the image paper that had peacock feathers and added Art Glitter...Of Course!  Then I added the real feather and the resin!
This was a bit of a different bezel that is not as deep.  I used the Spring Blossoms paper in the background.  Then added Glass Glitter!
I still love the Nutcracker from last year G45! I accented this with Connie Crystal.  Love being able to knot the cord and hold the beads!
LOVE Couture! A huge FAN of it!
Hope you have enjoyed this!  Make sure and visit all the other talented bloggers using the John Bead products.  Come and join me on my blog any time.  I hope to be posting more frequently in 2014~

Winter Wonderland

Pin ItIt is time for my post with the CHA Designer blog hop!  Time goes by so FAST!  I have been in gift making mode and made some quick and easy journals from blank books as also from composition notebooks!  I used some fabric, which is super easy to do using double sided tape.  I used the tape from La Dore.  I don't use glue as much as it soaks through the fabric.  I also do this with paper from time to time! So these are a few things I have made...

I always have to add Art Glitter to the mix!  I also am thinking of giving some jewelry.  I have been using both Envirotex an ICE Resin!  Both have jewelry grade resin and is just too darn fun to use!  Add a little Connie Crystal bling and you have wonderful handmade gifts!  Hope you see some of my work at CHA!

Hope you check back soon for more projects and a lot using RESIN!

Let It Snow Wall Decoration

Hello all!  Today is a fun hop with Smoothfoam & The Robin's Nest.  Let's Play!!! The Robin's Nest Design Team is very excited to team up with the SmoothFoam Design Team for this absolutely fabulous Blog Hop.  Each of these designers are so talented, I hope that you are inspired enough to leave a comment on each one of their blogs.   A grand prize winner will be chosen, this prize will include SmoothFoam and Robin's Nest products.  You must comment and become a follower on each blog, including this one,  in order to be eligible to win.  If you are joining the hop here, make sure and head over to Chattering Robins Blog for the start of the hop!  Have fun and good luck!

Supplies:
Smoothfoam round 6" circle
The Robin's Nest Paper cut to 6 x 6
Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest
Crystal Glitter from Art Glitter
Faux Snow from Art Glitter

1.  Start by cutting the paper to fit the flat surface of the foam.  I used the DDCA from Art Glitter to adhere the paper to the foam surface.

2.  Go around the circumference of the circle with the 2" Tape.   Align the tape to the bottom of the foam and let the remainder of the tape stick up above the top of the foam and paper.

 3.  Cut slits in the tape about every inch or so apart.
 4.  Fold in the tape one section at a time.  Make sure to pull up firmly and press down well.  If the tape has minor folds don't worry, it won't show!  Pull up the backing after you attach each section.

DO NOT REMOVE THE BACKING FROM THE BOTTOM PART OF THE PROJECT!!!
 5.  You now have a nice wall of tape backing which is GREAT as you are now going to cover the surface with Crystal Glitter!  Shake off the excess onto a scrap paper and put back into the container.
 6.  Remove the tape from the sides and roll in the Faux Snow.  I made a pile of "fluffy" snow in which to roll the foam!
7.  Place all the snow etc. back in the container.
8.  Select the Dew Drops you want to use.  I picked Silver round in large and small and the white drop shapes.
 9.  I placed a small amount of adhesive where I wanted to place a Dew Drop.  I then added a little extra adhesive on the tips of some snowflakes!
 10. Once it is all dry it makes this fun little decoration.  I plan on making several to do a grouping for the upcoming Christmas Season.
Just some different angles.  I love how it looks all fuzzy on the edges so it looks like snow!

Oh yes, at the moment it is below my Robin's Nest Clock!

Hope you all enjoyed this fun little project.  I will let you see what I do with the total grouping!  To see all the other Designers Playing click the link at the top left corner of my blog!

Designer Monday with Halloween

I have had several posts go live lately and I am LOVING playing with the jewelry, ICE Resin and all sorts of things.  I have a couple more pieces I am going to share.

This is a fun piece I have done just to be a little creepy.  My son is the Zombie of my dreams!  And as a good mother, I am not far away! LOL  Craft Attitude made it easy with their Jewelry Attitude line! After I printed the photos on the paper they had to dry.  If you look at my post from a few days ago you can see a bunch of projects!   This is all my projects drying...
After I let them dry I cut out the images I wanted with the Spellbinders Artisan Machine and dies that match the bezels.  Then after they were attached to bezel I used ICE Resin over the top.  Let it all dry and then attach the pieces to each other with a jump ring!
This piece is done with Art Glitter Designs Dries Clear Adhesive and Shards Glass Glitter!  I put the adhesive in the bezels and then poured on Shards!  Let it dry, added the skull  and then poured in the ICE Resin.  I let it cure for about an hour then added the Connie Crystal Black Crystal Sheets.  I cut a piece to fit the side then added one crystal for each eye and one in the center of the heart and let it dry the rest of the way.  I decided a plain cord would look great.  I may change my mind later...but for now, I like it.

Hope everyone has a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween!
