Just a Pop of Color

This is my card for the last day of the Black/White with a pop of color challenge.  I had to get my Zentangle back on.  I LOVE the rooster stencil from Dreamweaver!  I love the bright colors and liked the other "pop" of color to be a stamped domino!

Join Dreamweaver and Art Glitter starting next Thursday for a new challenge!

We have paired up with this wonderful company to show you how our glitter can be used with these beautiful and detailed stencils. All of our designers will be using the Double Glitter Technique! Make sure and check out Dreamweaver Designers every Thursday!
You can find all their designers at http://dreamweaverstencils.blogspot.com/
Make sure and play along all month with this fun challenge. Make sure and LINK to the Dreamweaver site to be eligible for 1 of 4 prize packages featuring stencils and glitter! You may even get your creation featured on Art Glitter's Blog!

Fun in the sun!

Well, better late than never! First, Happy Memorial Day! A huge "THANK YOU" to those have given all for our freedom to be!

Now on to the project! I struggled all week with this. I new what I wanted to use but just could not get it all together until VERY early this am! So lets get started!

Supplies:
Blue Raspberry Glitter Paper
Aquamarine Glitter Paper
3D Crystal Lacquer
Terri Sproul Mixers!!
Want2Scrap BLING
Grunge Letters

I printed photos from a water fight between cousins! Then gathered supplies. I used the Blue Raspberry paper as the base and mounted the photos on the Aquamarine Glitter paper. I decided to only mount two of the photos and layer them on top of the third photo.
After the photos were placed I placed the letters and then started the really fun part of mixing the colors to paint the letters! IF you have not yet used the Terri Sproul Mixers, you need to get them NOW!!

I finished all the letters and let them dry for just a moment. They dry so quick!
Now I put it all together...
I really love the bling by Want2Scrap and it looks like the water shooting from the guns! I even played a little my self! Have a GREAT Day!

Have a Safe & Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Hello all and welcome to Dreamweaver Thursday.  Hope you are having a GREAT time playing along with our Challenge for the month.  I am sort of doing Black and White with a pop (well a lot ) of color!  I am using one of the new designs from Dreamweaver.  I love the  White Glossy Embossing Paste and then using Color Solutions to add color.  OH..and I cheated, my suede paper is actually BROWN!

And here is a closer look at the glitter "Autumn"!
I did that using Black Matte Embossing Paste with Art Glitter applied while it was still wet.  This is short and sweet but I hope you still enjoyed!  Sorry, still recovering from some serious bronchitis so any prayers are welcome and appreciated!

Happy Creating

Black and White Challenge!

Hi all!  Dreamweaver Stencils is still looking for fun and creative responses to the challenge!  Please make sure and check out Dreamweaver's Blog for full details. Also make sure and visit all the Dream Team Blogs!

This month has been Graduation or Black & White challenge.  I love B/W so here is another project I did with Dreamweaver!
I have started finding stones that are flat so I can stencil on the stone then wire wrap the stone!  I used Black Matte Embossing Paste with LM149 stencil.  This is a small area of the stencil used.
I love using the a little Art Institute Glitter in Crystal just as an accent.  I sprinkle it on the embossing paste while it is wet!  If you want to try this the best tip I can give is to tape a part of the stencil to the rock and very carefully pull the paste over the stencil.  Also, make sure paste is completely dry before doing your wire wrapping.

Hope you have enjoyed this project.  Happy Creating!

Butterfly Fun with Robin's Nest and Want 2 Scrap

Hello all!  I have been getting a lot of graduation announcements and got tired of creating the same sort of card for every person.  So many kids view graduation as the end of high school and I wanted to give hope to what will come!  This is my take on new beginnings!
Supplies needed:
Embellishments from Want 2 Scrap
Various Inks (Tsukineko Memento/Versa Fine in Rich Cocoa & Habanero)
3D Crystal Laquer
Stamp: Not listed on the stamp...sorry

Step 1: Cut your base card to A7 (5 X7)
Step 2: Cut decorative paper to 4 3/4 X 6 3/4
Step 3: Cut solid piece of card stock 3 1/4 X 5 1/4
Step 4: Cut decorative paper to 3 X 5
Step 5: Edge each layer with Rich Cocoa & Habanero.  Alternate starting with the Rich Cocoa on the base and then Habanero.

Step 6: Ink stamp with Habanero then edge with Rich Cocoa and stamp on lower right side of the smallest layer.  It will overlap on to other layers as well.
Step 7: Pick Bling and place on card.
Step 8:  Add some glitter and you are done!
And a few closer looks...as the glitter sort of mimics the decorative paper...

Thanks for checking this out!  Leave me some love for chance to win some BLING!!!

Happy Creating

Last week for Black & White with a Pop

It seems I am almost out of cards that are black and white with a pop of color.  That works out well since this is the last week before the NEW challenge.  You may want to be thinking about the next big thing! Well I started with a Zentangle and am going to end with one!
I really do like the pop on this one.  Adding the domino was fun!  And I LOVE the rooster stencil! I do love a good "tangle"!
Starting In June we will be doing a cross promotion with Art Glitter!  Here are some fun details!
