Thursday Dreamweaver Dream Schemes

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! I want to welcome you to my first post for Dreamweaver Dream Schemes! Every Thursday the entire Dream Team from Dreamweaver will be posting a special card, challenge or some other great card or project featuring Dreamweaver Stencils! You will want to visit all the blogs every Thursday for some fun and creative ideas for Dreamweaver Stencils.

Our first Challenge given by our fearless leader Lynell:
Thanksgiving Day Parade of Christmas Cards in non traditional colors. I gave you a sneak peek yesterday so here is the entire project! So...Ta Da...a very non traditional colors Christmas Card!!!

So I started with a mustard yellow base card and then layered a cool piece of paper by Basic Grey on top for my backdrop. This is where I pulled all the different colors from to make the card. I loved the peachy color and happy to have a cool snip it of peach ribbon stuff. I added it to the side of the card.
I then went to work building my pear. I started with glossy blue embossing paste on the sister paper of the one already on the card
While the pear was drying I used black glossy embossing paste on the flip side of the paper for my "Merry Christmas". (I ended up just pasting right on the card so now I have a spare!)
The next bit gets repetitive so will not show you each step but I had to go over the again with crackle paste this time and let it dry. I then added a little creamy brown chalk in by Clearsnap so the crackle paste was not so white.

I then put the pear stencil back in place and layered the partridge stencil where I wanted it on the pear. The entire image does not fit which is why I left the pear stencil over the image. This prevents my next step on using the black glossy paste on the partridge from getting any on the background paper! I layered everything together for the finished project. A VERY non traditional colors Christmas Card!

Hope you all enjoy the THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE OF CARDS...brought to you by the
Dreamweaver Dream Team!

Come back every Thursday for another installment of Thursday Dream Schemes!

Don't forget to visit each of the blogs I have to the right to see their GREAT creations as well!

Happy Thanksgiving from one who is thankful for so much!

Fun Page Of Days Gone By

What fun to go through old photos and find one you forgot you have and then put it on a page.
If you can't tell, I have been on a scrapbook page making kick lately! This is a photo I found of my best friend Lynn and I in High School.
It made me think of all the fun times we had and the crazy things we did and the sister bond.
What is really great is some time passed between us and now I have her back in my life and we are sharing a new phase in life.
God is good that way, He knows your heart and knows how much you love your sisters..even if from another mother!
I am loving the papers and I love they are available in 3 colors to make it easy to make a fun multicolor page! I had to add a touch of glitter to my flowers that I tinted with PanPastels by Colorfin! I even made some punches out of shrink plastic for the flower centers! What a fun page!

Layers of Color

Just a fun page using Layers of Color products. Love the deco blocks! I also love the stencils. Actually, have not found much I do not love about this company other than I do not love that I have not yet collected ALL off their products! I also did the background color using leftover paint from the jewelry boxes. Smoosh it all together and get some effects!

Just Finished...Jewelry Boxes!

I have decided I am forever addicted to Layers Of Color stamps and stencils! They are so cool I decided to try something new on my jewelry boxes and this is the result!

The above box is using a corner stencil with two different sizes! I love it. I also had to run to my local store Scrapbook Generation to get some bling and flowers!
Happy Creating!

Just had to post this pic of TSO after the concert. It was so amazing. Love the rock integration with the classical. Love the pyrotechnics! Great voices, instrumentals, drama...WOW. And even got them to pose with me and Hubs!!! They apparently don't do that too often! So cool!

Congratulations Anna!

Anna, you are the winner of the stencil! Please email me with your information so I can send your stencil! Thanks for your comments one and all.

Today is a lazy day! I may get creative and try another painting . I am enjoying being at home and being creative whenever!!! This is one of my earlier creations. Have a great day and congrats again to Anna!
This a scrapbook page I did with my dear freind Linda! I used that great Princess Mirah self adhesive fabric paper. I am so sad they stopped production. I now have to make my own sticky paper with other products....sigh!

Happy Creating,

Kristi
