Painting and Pears

So in the past two days I have tried 2 new things! I did a video instruction and a painting. I for the life of me can't get the video to upload tothe blog. It is on facebook. This is my Painting. I love pears!!! Hope everyone is having a safe and Happy Halloween!

36....so this is how it was calculated... I did not use Random.Org as I was having issues with the computer. I told my son John to pick a number between one and 54. He chose 36. I then asked him if I should count from the bottom to the top or top to bottom and he said top to bottom. I started with the network blog and counted all spaces except myself. Dreamweaver Stencils..Fall is in the air! - 1st design challenge EVER

As I am sitting her preparing for a bonfire, I thought I need to post an Autumn Card. I love fall. I love this stencil from Dreamweaver! I made this card over 10 years ago and it is still on of my all time favs! I used the Shiva paint sticks for color then used translucent paste over the top. Then I layered to my hearts content. If I were making this same card today how would I change it. What Change would you make....

Jewelry, Wire Wrapping

Well this is what I was doing until very early this am. I have started this wonderful world of wire wrapping and the only way you get better is to practice. Practice is what I am trying to do. This is my third attempt at a different kind of bail on the top of my the wrapped piece. I love the stone...a cool piece from the gem and bead show last weekend. I think this, as with any crafty venue will be VERY addictive!

Easter Card! I know...it's about time!

Well, I am guessing better late than never! So I will break it down as much as possible!

Most of this is accomplished after the card is assembled. So let me start with the egg. I dry embossed the egg then stenciled in my color using PanPastels. I then cut out the egg and placed my large flourish stencil over it. I did tape down one side but the very large stencil covered my egg so it was more to keep everything in place. I then applied pearlescent embossing paste with a hint of blue Mettalic FX. I set this to the side to dry.

I cut my base card to 5 X 7. Then I cut different layer and distressed the edges. The light pink layer is 4 3/4 X 6 3/4. The purple layer is 4 X 6. The pattern paper is 3 1/2 X 5 1/2. I did add a small edge on my purple layer. I pulled the card stock across my ink and then added clear embossing powder and heated it to give a sharp looking edge!

I layered the egg a couple of times and placed it on the card front. I then taped down the sentiment and applied plain pearlescent paste. I let that dry then added the paste on each corner and covered the flourish in glitter! What a shock! My final touch was to add the primo Prima flower!

Wow...Time Flies! Jewelry, Cards & Stencils!!

I am insane here! Not that it is anything new, but wow. I am still working on instructions for the Easter Card I posted during the blog hop. It has a lot of steps! I have been making necklaces and cards for an article. I am so thankful that I get to play for my work!!

Autumn Is In The Air!!

I love autumn, well most of autumn. I am fighting the autumn cold of it being chilly in the am and warm in the afternoon. I love to design with the colors of autumn, which is really the reason I love autumn so much. These creations were once again created with stencils. Yes, I know, I am on a kick~ This card was created by stenciling the wheat with my wonderful PanPastels! I then dry embossed on white core paper the full wheat image and then distressed the image with my trusty fine grain sanding block. I put it all together then added the final touch of rick rack and the gold paste word! I even got the word on straight!! LOL

This card was created by putting the large flourish stencil on the yellow layer and using my misting ink to pull out the design. I then took my cool leaf and layed my stencil on it as flat as possible and used the paste to make the image. I then glittered the paste and let it dry!

Did I mention that I love AUTUMN!

I just wanted to say thank you for all who left comments and participated in the Dreamweaver Blog Hop! I hope you all were as inspired as I was! I love seeing what the other designers do with stencils. I have enjoyed all the open sleigh samples on the Dreamweaver blog! Thank you Lynell for supporting this great hop! I was busy making samples and doing demos at the great Memory Expo in Topeka, KS! What a great group of creative people. Saw some old friends and made some new ones. Props to Joe, Joe, Carole & Betty! You all made it a blast. We must figure out how to do more things at the same events just so we can hang!
