Yeah,,,Pictures are uploaded

This is an older photo of a wedding cake I made.  It really came out pretty I think.   I love having fres flowers on a cake.  This is one of the best ones I have made and it tasted yummy too.  Wonder what I would do with the Cricut that cuts fondant icing??? I don't like the taste but think it would be great to have that option...hmmmmm

Just a Note

So I have to tell you, the day is looking icky out but it is ok.  I got most all the house cleaned yesterday, just need to really hit the bathrooms...ugh!  BUT...After that, I will be creating today. This is a more updated photo of me.  Yes, time for new professional photos! I will hopefully post at least something I have created later today.  I hope you have had a chance to visit my store on ETSY.com.  I am starting slow and adding more as I go.  There are so many people on that site selling their unique products, I want to make sure mine don't get lost in the sea of items for sale! May everyone have the best day possible!  Happy Creating!  Kristi

I can't believe it is January 20!!

I always have heard that time goes by faster the older you get and people wonder why it goes faster.  I know the answer, I have so much more to do now. As a kiddo I could play, watch tv, read or play barbies or hot wheels.  Chore day was Saturday.  Now chore day is EVERYDAY!  It never ends. So I have made progress.  John's Room is better, living room is dusted and cleaned (other than the table that has my crafting stuff on it), the kitched has beem swept and mopped and the counters less cluttered and the dining room is also swept and mopped.  Now it is time to CREATE!  I will get to start on the wedding invites I am doing for a sweet gal at church and finish up some other design stuff.  Oh well,  back to it!  Here is a card I have made sometime.  LOL   No longer know when!  Happy cleaning and creating! Be My Valentine

I am trying to start think pink for Valentine's Day! Not sure what all I am doing this year.  My son and I usually make his valentines for his class so we will probably do that again.   I am also making cards to sell at church to support our pre-teen ministry.  The kiddos are going to camp this summer and this is a great way for them to make some money and keep me busy!  This is a a card I did last year and I pulled it out to inspire me.  The stamps are from Prickley Pear and is a fun design.  They have so many new images I am going to have to put aside at least a month to use all the new images I most recetnly got.  Think I will  have to combine all the projects I am working on and use them all together!  I think that will be fun anyway.  Happy Creating!  Kristi

Cards

Well, I had a fun day yesterday.  I made a bunch of cards.  some for church and some for ETSY.  I am really excited about the ETSY thing.  I did 8 of each color and they are individual for church and sets of 6 for the store! Yeah.  It was so fun making these cards.  I used the Sizzix folder in my Cuttle Bug.  It was so cool to see the images pop out.  I then stamped in black and heat embossed in clear all the words.  I used double sided paper so the insides are a lighter for writing.  I also stamped the inside corner with a flourish I just got with my cool gift card from my good friend Linda. I then tore the paper and mounted on black paper.  The colors really look great mounted on the black!  This is a great way to make quick and beautiful cards!!!  I am also super excited that my Your Story by Provo Craft arrived today.  I am so ready to get some projects done for them.  I have soooo many ideas that my brain almost hurts. Well, not really but it is exciting.  I am going to start on those projects in the morning.  Please keep praying for the bells palsy.  the face is doing a lot better but my left ear is still hurting and I am still dizzy.  Hoping it goes away sooner rather than later!  Happy creating....Kristi

Fun Stuff

I just uploaded this set on ETSY! It is so fun and bright for all the snow days we have been having!  I have also been working on getting a paper order together to make some wedding invitations. I am going to have fun making them and hope they turn out as well as I think they will.  I am also excited as I sold my first necklace on ETSY today too.  I am so fortunate to have a husband who supports and understands my illness...or at least fake understands my compulsion to create!  At least I have a creative outlet and hope it will make me a little money, or at least support my habit! I hope everyone has a really great weekend and stays warm.  I think I am in until church tomorrow! brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Happy Creating to you all!  Kristi

Wow...Etsy is kinda fun but a lot of work!

Hi all and happy January 5th!  Can't believe we are almost in a week to the new year.  I have been trying to get stuff listed on Etsy and finally have about 10 necklaces up.  This one has not made it there yet but wanted to share.  I am getting ready to list some cards and stuff there as well.  No telling what will show up there! (maybe a kid or two!)  The new year did not start the best but am making the best of the bad situation.  I go to the Dr. at 1pm today to see where I am at with this bells palsy thing.  I really hate not feeling well and am sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!  I am looking forward to 2010 and designing some for Cuttlebug Challenges as a guest artist and then designing for Score It and hopefully the Your Story machine!  All are great products and look forward to playing.  The new year also has me thinking about where I want to be by years end.  I am currently still writing for Scrap & Stamp and hope to get some things published in other publications this year as well.  I am also excited as I finally got a photo printer to use at home.  I am very pleased with the results thus far.  Well, better get moving...have to check on paper supplies for two weddings I am doing the invites for this summer!
Keep Creating.....Kristi

I just posted 6 necklaces on my new ETSY store!  I hope you will check it out!

Just Keep Swimming

Happy New Year!  I think this tray is an example of what I need to do this year...Just Keep Swimming! I made this tray awhile ago but it still think it is one of my all time favs.  All the stamps are by Prickley Pear and the fish are some of  my all time favorites.  I stamped, colored and layered the fish inside the tray with a resin...I use the two part mixative by Envirotex Lite.  I start by painting the wooden tray with paint or stain.  I then design the bottom of the tray.  In this case I used some fun mosaic tiles from The Stencil Collection for the border. I used various stones and stamped the Bubbles stamp all over along with a background stamp.  I then stamped the fish and painted with Twinkling H2Os.  I just had so much fun making this and other trays.  I am getting ready to start a couple of new trays and will keep you updated on some things coming up!  Again, Happy New Year to all and my 2010 find you still swimming!
