I have my eye on you!

I have just been having fun making cards and playing. I think I may have to get serious in the next couple of days about what I am doing. This is just a fun simple card. I used a stamp with an outline for the center and then did some direct to paper. I used the same colors in the background as I used on the main image! I am sooooo ready for warm weather to be here 24/7~

Time For Spring for REAL

. I am so ready for the real deal with SPRING! I am trying to think spring even though my cold is holding on! I used some more of my fun paper and a cool humming bird stamp from Inkadinkado. I love to use several different colors of ink one stamp. I used a combination of purples for the bird and for the sentiment. I also used a cool flourish for the background on the base card. (Paper Inspirations) I also love that I do not have add glitter as this paper already has glitter! Hope you enjoy this card!

UGH and Yippee

Spring break is over and hope things go back to normal soon. It was a fun break other than the blizzard and the cold that won't let go! Good news is I don't have any pressing plans at the moment and can putter and create and sleep! So I wanted to share another of my quick and easy cards using the Mariposa paper stack by DCWV. Did I tell you all I LOVE these papers? I thank my good friend Linda for telling me about them and then showing me hers so I just had to get them! LOL

This card was so easy and yet looks so elegant. I cut a strip of the paper and edged it with my trusty Pale Gold Krylon pen. I stamped my sentiment in Deep Lagoon VersaFine by Tsukineko. Put it all together and you have a quick and easy note card to send to someone special.

Home At Last!

Had a great trip other than the weather. I did get to do some creating and had a great room at my brother's home to work in and great paper by DCWV. I love the new paper stack Mariposa - great colors and great designs. This is one of the cards I created. I started with a base card from a value pack at Micheal's. Cut the next layer 1/4 inch smaller than the card front. Stamp a sentiment in a matching color, cut it out, edge it in gold pen and layer. Done! I almost feel like I cheated but got over it really quick! Hope you enjoy!

I am tying to figure out how to get a photo off my phone and post but this is the after!

Anyone that knows me is aware of my love for designing using pears. Today as I was getting knew photos taken for blogs and professional stuff I needed to look like I was creating. I don't pretend very well so I did create. I had taken a few supplies to get "action" shots and this was the result. Love to stipple, over stamp and layer. I even ended up with a matching envelope! woo hoo! Hope you enjoy.

So..............................................This is what I started with this morning. I am not proud of my mess and it is not all my mess but I am making progress! I think I have all of my paper in one general area. I have no need for paper for awhile!!!!

I actually am pretty happy as by days end I discovered I had a garage floor! So I am trying to get myself in a place that I can create without hunting for 30 min. every time I need a different supply.

My next step is to work out some minor details with space issues in my studio. As I have always said, keep your things in like containers so they can stack and store more easily. If you have to used some things in 3 or 4 years, put it in a box and donate it to a church or other organization to use.

I am hoping by this time Monday to have the garage so a car can actually be parked in there. And as for my room, nice and tidy and read to start a series of articles using different techniques and supplies for your creative endeavours! Happy Cleaning, organizing and creating!

Happy Thursday! Hope everyone had great Wednesday. I found this one in some of my "already" cards. I am getting ready to do a lot of writing and art projects so have my mind in a different place. I do love this card. These are all Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and WorldWin papers. I love the way the background on the card matches the design in the cat on the dress form. Nicole has done that with a lot of her stamps to make them naturally flow on a project. I also like the deep eggplant color mixed with the deep greens. Hope you all like this one. Please have your friends sign up.

I am also having a CONTEST!!! Tell your friends to follow my blog. When the sign up have them say who recommended them. I will put one entry per follower. On April 15 (Tax Day) One lucky person will get a prize with a retail value of $40! The bonus....each new follower will get their name in a drawing for $20 worth of fun crafting supplies! I will announce the winners as soon as I wake up on April 16th!

Good luck and happy blogging!

Patriotic Fun

Happy March! I know that patriotic is not the hot topic for this month but I think it is ALWAYS a good time to show our support for this great country and all of the people serving so we can be free. I love this card used all K & Company papers. I love how all the paper and stickers all match. It was just fun using the embossed vellum on the front and the imitation suede navy paper. And then the cool script paper makes such a nice inside. Hope this inspires a thought of country and makes you say a little prayer for all of our troops serving to protect our freedoms. Happy creating. Kristi
