Memory Expo...Topeka, KS

Wow!!! What a great weekend. Huge props go out to Jennifer at Midland Care for putting on an EXCELLENT show! Everyone had a great time and were in go SPIRITS...(it is Halloween!) What a joy to meet such a talented group of speakers/teachers and crafters as well. The best part is this was for such a great cause. They do wonderful hospice care and NEVER turn anyone away no matter of financial situation. These fundraisers are the way they provide quality care for any one in need. What a joy to give back. So many lives are touched by many illnesses and these people are there with a loving touch and care. I am so honored to have been asked to be a speaker/teacher at this event! Mark your calendars now scrappers and stampers...October 1st & 2nd of 2010! We are going to be having a blast! I will post pictures and more info after I have had some ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! What a GREAT day!

Having a cold is the pits!

I am so not amused! Why get a cold before a big event? Oh well, I am taking care of the throat and hope it will last through the weekend. I am excited because it seems all things are coming together nicely. Giving another sample of one of the cards I am teaching. I am so excited to get started on Christmas cards. I am also thrilled the classes are filling up. The best part is, it is all for charity. I am also posting what the tree in my front yard looked like a few days ago. I love the colors of fall. I do not love the change from warm to cold to rainy! Oh well, at least there is no snow YET! I also hae a huge shout out to The Scrapnook! They have been great to work with on getting the supplies needed for this event for my projects. It is really great that people that attend the event can get most items used right there on the spot if they wish. Leaving on Friday morning. I will take a lot of pictures and post some either as I am there or when i get back!

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go.....

No jet plane here! LOL I am getting really excited for the upcoming event. I am posting one of the cards I am teaching. (FYI I used there are 6 different colors of poinsettias and I used my favorite color...not many will want ORANGE!) I know the classes are filling and can't wait to get there. This is for such a great cause! Check it out at http://www.midlandcareconnection.org/! The gal that has been doing the organization of this event is great. I am hoping anyone that is reading my blog can help in some way. I am hoping to have a little bit more of a relaxing week leading up to this event. I am also thrilled that my mom is going with me. She will see the crazy world in which I belong up close and personal. Hope she can handle all the fun! The rest of this week will be getting my house in order, making a couple more items just for fun...well sort of. It is always fun to create but I will probably send them in as submissions some place. Always going to the next thing. Well, I had better get to my day. Don't forget, if ANYONE has a question they would like answered regarding the craft world you can submit them to me at ask.kristi@att.net. The questions may appear in an upcoming issue of Scrap & Stamp. Have a spooktakular week. Bwaaaa haaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaa

I think I am ready!

I think I am all packed up and ready to go! Still have a few things I will have to pack up before I goe, but classes are done. I am looking forward to the Topeka trip so much. I think I have even figured out wardrobe. I will post photos on Facebook when I get home of the event and classes and all the fun stuff. I am also very happy that my mom is going with me on the trip. She will finally get a view of my world...I think she may be scared a little!
I have added a photo with this post. This is a paint can that I altered. It is a great little treat bucket so this is the perfect time of year to break it out!
I am also very glad that it is fall. I love the changing colors and all the fall stuff. We have been enjoying the marching band festivals and this past weekend was at MSU so Paul performed with the PRIDE Band! It was a great show. It was a bit chilly but great bands and shows.

Classes Listed At Midland

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited, the classes I am teaching in Topeka are now available for registration. I am teaching one card class, one scrapbook layout class, two make & takes along with a demo! I think I am going to be busy and I love it that way!!! I am really excited about this Expo and it is for such a great cause! Look through the blog...I have listed the link a couple of times. Now my biggest challenge is getting everything packed up and then clean up the mess. Love the creating part, don't care for the cleaning up so much, I think that makes me somewhat normal. I am off to start the real work of the day and get grocery shopping done, cleaning in general, fix food and tell all the boys in the house what needs to be done!

On a side note, I am really looking forward to tomorrow and hope the weather is nice. MSU is hosting Ozarko band festival and my oldest will be participating in the PRIDE BAND exhibition at 5:15 pm. I am really looking forward to seeing the bands perform. It should be a really great day!

The Mural Is Done!!!

Who knew that painting monkeys and trees could be so much fun. I have spent the last 3 weeks working on this fun project for a couple from my church. Their son Zachary is the sweetest and hope he enjoys all the animals for a long time! I am posting a couple of pictures for you all to see. Mike was a huge help in all of this too! Now I have to get busy and get all my stuff ready for Topeka at the end of October!!! Never a dull moment!

Happy Creating
